Skokiaan Brassband : nouvel album « Skoki Mama »

NOUVEL ALBUM “SKOKI MAMA”

Le Skokiaan Brass Band sort son deuxième album SKOKI MAMA, réalisé par le producteur américain Scott Billington (Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Soul Rebels, Solomon Burke, Irma Thomas…), lauréat de trois Grammy Awards.
Voyages, rencontres et collaborations artistiques en France, aux États-Unis et en Afrique de l’Ouest ont dessiné les contours d’une identité musicale originale. Inspiré par les brass bands de La Nouvelle-Orléans, le Skokiaan Brass Band joue avec funk, soul, jazz et rythmes afro-caribéens, y ajoutant même quelques pincées de high life et d’afro beat.
L’album, enregistré en France, à La Nouvelle-Orléans, au Bénin et au Ghana, rend hommage à Skoki Mama dont l’esprit veille sur l’unité du groupe et lui inspire ce son unique fait pour réchauffer et égayer notre époque.
